Types of Leave and Eligibility Conditions

Weekly Rest
The worker is entitled to a weekly day of rest.
The worker may not be required to work on this day except under special conditions.

Official Holidays
Determined by the state, they include national holidays and celebrations.
The duration ranges from one to three days.

Sick Holidays
Clarification of the worker’s rights in sick holidays and eligibility conditions.

Annual Holiday
The worker is entitled to 30 days of paid holiday annually.
The holiday can be accumulated for up to two years with the employer’s approval.
Official holidays and public holidays are not counted as part of the annual holiday.

Maternity Holiday
Granted 70 days of full-paid leave during childbirth.
She is entitled to an additional 4 months of unpaid leave for childcare, with the employer’s approval.

Study Holiday
Granted to the worker to obtain a higher qualification.
It must be in the same field of work.
The worker is required to work for the employer for a period equal to the holiday duration.

Hajj Holiday
Granted 21 days of paid leave.
The worker must not have performed Hajj before.
The worker must have completed two years of service.

Bereavement Holiday
3 days of fully paid leave in case of the death of a first- or second-degree relative.
A working wife is entitled to:
-Muslim employee: 4 months and 10 days without working elsewhere.
-Non-Muslim employee: 21 days of paid leave.

Conference Attendance Holiday
An official invitation and a specific leave request must be submitted.
It is not deducted from the annual holiday.
